Gunni Omann Teak Credenza

An exceptional Danish Modern teak credenza attributed to Gunni Omann for Omann Jun, Model 18 — a beautifully proportioned design combining sculptural details, exceptional storage and classic Scandinavian simplicity.

At nearly 79″ long, the credenza features a streamlined teak case elevated on long tapered legs. Four spacious sliding drawers occupy the left side, while two large sliding doors conceal generous cabinet storage with an interior shelf.

One of the defining details is the pair of sculpted integrated teak door pulls, subtly carved into the edges of the sliding doors and maintaining the beautifully uninterrupted lines of the piece.

The craftsmanship continues around the back, which is fully finished in beautifully figured teak. This allows the credenza to be floated within a room, positioned behind a sofa or used as a sophisticated room divider rather than being limited to placement against a wall.

A striking and highly functional example of Danish Modern design that looks just as beautiful from the back as it does from the front.

Dimensions: 78 3/4″l × 18 3/4″d × 32.5″h

Very good vintage condition and presents beautifully overall. One of the sculpted teak door pulls has been restored/repaired and remains fully functional. Original manufacturer label is no longer present.

The piece corresponds in design, dimensions and construction to documented examples of the Gunni Omann Model 18 for Omann Jun. The original manufacturer label is no longer present, although evidence of previously stapled tags remains underneath, along with production numbers on the drawers and underside. For this reason, the piece is being offered as attributed to Gunni Omann/Omann Jun rather than as a labeled example.
